What is a Pre-Existing Condition?

Liz Cheney thinks that people with pre-existing conditions should pay more for health care so her wealthy friends can save some money through their own tax cuts.

So, what is a pre-existing condition?

Pre-existing conditions allow insurance companies to charge you higher rates and even withhold care if you have certain health related issues. Under the GOP healthcare plan that passed the House yesterday, this could happen to you if you have been affected by:

AIDS/HIV

Acid Reflux

Acne

ADD

Addiction

Allergies

Alzheimer’s/ dementia

Anemia

Aneurysm

Angioplasty

Anorexia

Anxiety

Arrhythmia

Arthritis

Asthma

Atrial fibrillation

Autism

Bariatric surgery

Basal cell carcinoma

Bipolar disorder

Blood clot

Breast cancer

Bulimia

Bypass surgery

Celiac disease

Cerebral aneurysm

Cerebral embolism

Cerebral palsy

Cerebral thrombosis

Cervical cancer

Colon cancer

Congestive heart failure

Mental health issues

MS

Muscular dystrophy

Narcolepsy

Nasal polyps

Obesity

OCD

Organ transplant

Osteoporosis

Pacemaker

Panic disorder

Paralysis

Paraplegia

Parkinson’s disease

Postpartum depression

...to name a few.

This doesn’t even include sexual assault and domestic violence that are now considered pre-existing conditions under the GOP health care plan.

Chances are, you or someone you know has been impacted with something on this list. People with pre-existing conditions should not have to fund tax cuts for the wealthy and bear the burden of higher profits for insurance companies.

Tell Senators Barrasso and Enzi to vote NO on this GOP “healthcare” plan!
