Legislative Aide

DESCRIPTION:

Legislative aides assist our Democratic legislators with the everyday tasks that are necessary to passing key Democratic pieces of legislation. These duties include but are not limited to: monitoring pending legislation, being present at committee meetings, handling constituent correspondence, organizing caucus meetings and agendas, and working with any stakeholders that hold particular interest in a piece of legislation. Legislative aides help provide organization to our legislators and are integral team members in a fast-paced political environment.

Legislative aides can expect to develop their skills and knowledge in the political process as well as network and build relationships with Wyoming’s most dedicated public servants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enthusiastic commitment to Democratic values and a better Wyoming
  • Good communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and schedule flexibility

 

This is a paid position coinciding with the 2017 Wyoming State Legislative Session.
