Wyoming Democratic Party Announces Interim Executive Director

Cheyenne, WY - The Wyoming Democratic Party has announced that Evan Welty will be stepping into the position of Interim Executive Director until such time that a permanent WDP Executive Director is hired. Welty has deep family ties to Wyoming and draws his political experience from working on campaigns in Wyoming, Nevada, and Florida.
Upon joining the WDP, Welty issued the following statement:
“I am excited to help the Wyoming Democratic Party grow as we look ahead to the 2018 election. I am deeply grateful to Chairman Barbuto for this opportunity and will do my best to work with Democrats from across Wyoming to create a party that represents them and their concerns. Also, I have to admit, I am looking forward to driving around this beautiful state.”
WDP Chair Joe M Barbuto had the following to say regarding his choice to hire Welty as Interim ED:
“Evan has a keen political mind and an impressive background in field work and campaigning. I had the opportunity to see first hand his incredible work ethic and talents during the last election. Without a doubt, he’ll bring that same energy and commitment to the Wyoming Democratic Party. We’re glad to have him on board.”
