interns

data intern

The Wyoming Democratic Party has an opening for a data intern who will work and train with our Data Director.

The candidate will learn to use a relational database program to create canvass, calling, and mailing lists to support county parties and candidate campaigns. The intern will also help create information sheets for various electoral districts within Wyoming.  A passion for data-driven decision-making is expected.  Relational Database experience a plus.

While this position is currently non-compensated, WDP will work with your educational institution to determine whether credit can be given for your experience, and we are happy to provide employment references upon request.

media intern

The Wyoming Democratic Party has an opening for a media intern, with one of two available concentrations: digital & social media, or traditional media relations. For those with prior experience in either field, crossover experiences may be considered.

As a digital and social media intern, you will learn the ins-and-outs of digital media, including Online Reputation Management, social media best practices, email fundraising and newsletters, and online event management.

As a media relations intern, you will learn how to build effective media relations, writing press releases, pitching stories, and the roles and duties of a spokesperson. This intern may also have the opportunity to work on-site at the Capitol during the legislative session.

Applicants with education backgrounds and/or practical experience in media relations, web/graphic design, social media management, or other similar subject matter will be given preference.

While this position is currently non-compensated, WDP will work with your educational institution to determine whether credit can be given for your experience, and we are happy to provide employment references upon request.
